The Golden Triangle of north India is a famous tourist circuit that covers three cities: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.

Delhi is the capital city of India and is situated in the northern part of the country. It is a bustling metropolis that blends traditional Indian culture with modernity. Jaipur is a city located in the northern state of Rajasthan in India, famously known as the “Pink City” due to its pink-colored buildings. The city is renowned for its rich culture,
historic forts, and palaces that showcase the grandeur of the Rajput era. The most famous attractions of Jaipur include the Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Jal Mahal, and Jantar
Mantar. It is also a hub for traditional handicrafts, jewelry, and textiles, making it a shopper’s paradise. Overall, Jaipur offers a unique and enchanting experience for
tourists looking to explore the beauty and charm of India.

Agra is a city located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh in India and is home to one of the most iconic structures in the world – the Taj Mahal. This magnificent white marble mausoleum, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of love and romance. Besides the Taj Mahal, Agra is also home to other notable Mughal-era structures such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, which attract thousands of tourists from all over the world. The city is also famous for its delectable cuisine and exquisite handicrafts, making it a must-visit destination for any traveler visiting India.

The itinerary for the tour starts with a day in Delhi, where visitors are welcomed by a Vimla India Tours representative and taken to their hotel. The next day is spent sightseeing in Old Delhi, starting with a visit to the Jama Masjid mosque, followed by a rickshaw ride in the busy Chandni Chowk market. The tour also includes visits to Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, and Bangla Sahib Gurudwara.

On the third day, visitors travel to Jaipur, the Pink City. After checking into the hotel, visitors attend a ceremony at Birla Mandir, Jaipur. The next day is spent sightseeing,
starting with a visit to Hawa Mahal and a drive to Amber Fort. Overall, the Golden Triangle Tour offers an opportunity to experience the multifacetedness and diversity of the sights, sounds, colors, flavors, architecture, and beauty of India.

Itineraries

Day 1 - Delhi Arrival:

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by a representative from Vimla India Tours who will escort you to your hotel. They will also provide you with travel documents and abriefing about the tour. You can spend the rest of the night at your leisure in the hotel.

Day 2 - Delhi Full Day Sightseeing:

After breakfast, we will embark on a sightseeing tour of Delhi. We will start with Old Delhi, visiting Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, it has a courtyard that can accommodate up to 25,000 devotees. The mosque features three great gates and intricate decorations.

Afterward, we will take a rickshaw ride through the bustling Chandni Chowk market.

Next, we will visit Qutub Minar, a tower of victory built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1192 after the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu kingdom. We will then visit the Lotus Temple, a Baha'i House of Worship that represents peace. We will continue on to India Gate, driving past the Presidential Palace and Parliament. Our tour will conclude with a visit to the beautiful Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a prominent Sikh place of worship known for its association with the 8th Sikh Guru - Guru Har Krishan. The gurdwara was completed in 1664. We will return to the hotel for the night.

Day 3 - Drive from Delhi to Jaipur (280 km/6 hrs):

In the morning, we will travel to Jaipur, also known as the Pink City and the capital of Rajasthan. This city is known for its captivating architecture and design. After check-in at the hotel, we will attend a ceremony at the Birla Mandir, also known as the Lakshmi Narayan Temple. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu (Narayan). Constructed solely of white marble, it was built in 1988 by the B.M. Birla Foundation. We will spend the night in the hotel.

Day 04 Jaipur Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, we proceed for a sightseeing tour. Our first stop is at Hawa Mahal (wind palace) for some photo ops, and then we drive to Amber Fort. Also referred to as the Amber Palace, the fort is located on a hill in Amer, Rajasthan, just eleven kilometers from the city of Jaipur. Built by Raja Man Singh, the fort, which is also spelled as Amer fort, is a major tourist attraction.

The fort presents a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture and is built using red sandstone and white marble. We take a short jeep ride to reach the fort. After the fort, we visit City Palace, which is located deep within the walled city.

The city palace complex was conceived and built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. A beautiful fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture, the palace is still home to the last ruling royal family which lives in a private section of the palace.

Our last visit will be to the Jantar Mantar (Observatory), a
collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The monument was completed in 1734 and features the world's largest stone sundial. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 05 Jaipur - Chand Baori - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (240 KMS/06 HRS)

Today we travel from Jaipur to Agra en route to Chand Baori, which was built during the 8th and 9th centuries and has 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry, which descend 20m to the bottom of the step well. We also visit Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century.

This is one of the popular UNESCO world Heritage sites in India, with lots of historical monuments. We will have a tour of the five-story Panch Mahal and Buland Darwaza, which has a stupendous architectural design. It is located at the central portico, with three arched entrance locally known as Horse shoe Gate. We will also visit other graceful buildings such as Ibadat Khana, Mariam-uz-Zamani's palace, Naubat Khana, and Birbal's house. Later, we will drive to Agra to spend the night in the hotel.

Day 06: Agra Taj Mahal Sightseeing

In the morning, we will visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (CLOSED ON FRIDAYS). Known as one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, is the epitome of true love and passion. Built by the famous Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal, the Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Made entirely out of white marble, the beauty of the Taj Mahal is beyond description.

We will also visit the Agra Fort, which was built in 1573 during the reign of Akbar - one of the greatest Mughal Emperors. It took more than 4000 workers and eight years of hardship to complete the fort. Akbar built the fort to make it the main residence of the Mughals, and it remained as such until 1638. The fort houses numerous impressive structures like the Jahangir Mahal, Khas Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Machchhi Bhawan and
Moti Masjid. Later, we will drive straight to Delhi. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 07:

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight for onward journey.
